The ASTTBC Technology Awards & Recognition Celebration is fast becoming one of the highlights for BC's science and technology community. This special event provides us the opportunity to thank our dedicated volunteers and to recognize BC leaders who have contributed to the growth and development of technology, technological education and advancing careers.
November 5th promises to be another grand event for ASTTBC! We encourage you to join us to take this event 'over the top'. Our evening starts with a reception and Silent Auction fundraiser for FEAT, followed by entertainment, dinner, award presentations and social time.
This year we have invited John Furlong, CEO Vancouver 2010 Winter Games, to receive an ASTTBC Honorary Membership. Also invited is Hon. Naomi Yamamoto, Minister of Advanced Education, who will bring greetings.
We will also profile National Technology Week - seven days dedicated to enhancing awareness of technology careers for Applied Science Technologists, Certified Technicians and Technical Specialists. At this event we will also highlight our TechGREEN program that recognizes ASTTBC members, corporations and organizations who are taking a lead role in environmental initiatives.
ASTTBC volunteers will be sent a Special Invitation by email in appreciation for their generous support to the Association over the year. ASTTBC members and others wishing to attend the celebration may do so at a cost of $125 pp. Group tables are also available. Dress is evening attire.
Whether we look at achievements or goals, one thing is certain... ASTTBC members, dedicated volunteers and committed partners are at the very heart of our success!
