This panel presentation will focus on embracing opportunities to drive BC's economy. Viewpoints from some of BC's most influential sectoral leaders will be presented including labour market conditions in BC's manufacturing sector, LNG development in BC, economic competitiveness in BC's mining sector and a high level snapshot of opportunities to drive economic growth in British Columbia.

Afternoon Panel Presentation:
Engaging BC's Best ~ A Professional Reliance Discussion

For years, challenging labour market conditions such as the aging BC demographic and the need to engage qualified workers has been a major topic of discussion. The question of how do we engage BC's best is often posed. This panel presentation will explore different perspectives on how professional reliance models are being used in BC. The discussion will also raise the question of the need to embrace professional reliance as a way to not only to ensure public heath and safety, but to recognize and engage those trained and qualified at the highest level possible to ensure BC's economic stability.
