
Foundation For Education & Advancement In Technology
The Foundation For Education & Advancement In Technology is ASTTBC's charitable foundation. FEAT operates as an independent charitable organization established to receive contributions and donations from members of ASTTBC and others, and in turn, to provide grants, awards and bursaries for the advancement of technology, technical education and awareness, and professional development for residents of British Columbia.
More than half-a-million dollars in bursaries and support for science and technology events has been provided by FEAT since 1990.

ASTTBC/FEAT Student Bursaries Available Through College Awards Offices
ASTTBC/FEAT provides more than $12,000 per year to the colleges and institutes of BC to award to students in technology programs that have been accredited by ASTTBC or the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board. College staff select students who, in their opinion, exhibit the characteristics of tomorrow’s technology professionals. Students in eligible technology programs at BCIT, Camosun, Kwantlen, Okanagan, Thompson Rivers University, and Vancouver Community College should check with the Awards Office of their college or their instructors.
ASTTBC/FEAT Student Bursaries Available Directly From FEAT
FEAT provides a variety of $1,000 bursaries each year by direct application. See the 'Apply For Bursaries' page for criteria and application information for the following bursaries:

Professional Development Activities
ASTTBC Leaders Legacy Award. This award recognizes of the tradition of excellence in leadership provided by volunteers since ASTTBC was founded in 1958. It provides up to $2,500 per year for a member, or members, of ASTTBC pursuing Continuing Professional Development in leadership and association management skills or similar activity that contributes to the professional growth of the member and of ASTTBC. Preference is given where the award will encourage younger members to take an active role in their professional association. Selection of recipients is by the ASTTBC Awards Committee; FEAT’s role is to raise and provide the funding. No fixed application or nomination deadline. No fixed application deadline, however event sponsorships are provided by the FEAT Board based on the merits of the event relative to other applications and based on the annual FEAT budget which follows a calendar year.
